Powering the RV accessories in a camper is clean quiet and can provide plenty of power for a refrigerator, a microwave, lighting, fans, water pumps, stereo and other onboard electronics.
ABOUT THE SETUP
The van was purchased with a DIY setup installed by the original owner. As i learned about solar and RV systems, it became apparent, he did a great job researching quality equipment and installing the system. Ten years after the original installation, the cost of solar panels and charge controllers is one fourth what is was a decade ago. This inspired us to upgrade the system for longer periods of boondocking.
Besides solar, the system is charged by an aftermarket 200 amp alternator the charges the house batteries...

    Aren't you worried about those batteries off gassing in the living space? I didn't see any air tight box over them and vented outside.

    for your isolator switch, did you have to get a switch that was rated at 250+amps because the altornator was giving 250amps? or did a lower rating one work? thanks 🙂

    If you wired your panels in series you could put them all on the same mppt charge controller and it is even better for compromised lighting situations.

    Make it yourself thanks to Avasva solutions. I think it's the best way to learn how to build it in the cheapest way.
