+Louis Rossmann In germany you can set up a "marriage contract" where you can settle rules for your marriage if it should end. Such as income and capital will not be split and there are no alimonies to be paid.

Can't you do that in the US?

"I don't know why people are wanting to fix a base model from 2012"

Ummmm, then what's their option? Buy a newer model when the 20102 works just fine? That's what apple wants.

You actively don't want people just buying newer models when stuff breaks, and want them to fix it as to make things last longer when they can.

The other option is ditching apple. But, the issue is, I have development environments, software, workflows, etc all designed around apple. And windows 10 is the plague for any development if you don't buy an enterprise controllable license (where you can control when it reboots to update). You don't know how many hundred GB transfers, video renders, or testing sessions have been ruined by that. I'm sticking with windows 8.1, as windows 7 has no support for patches on kaby lake.

There's not much option for me to do, than to just buy another apple product, or fix the one that works.

I currently have a 2010 model with maxed ram, and an ssd. It works super fast and operates everything I need, including rendering/conversion using ffmpeg and development software at reasonable speeds.

If repair price is too big for you, do not buy apple, by acer and do not repair them – put them directly to the garbage when its broken…

I think a thumbs up for you FreePBX series is in order. I don't understand people that bitch about getting something for free. Especially since you put effort in them. Great series!
I found them interesting and might use it them in future. I found it enlightening and it's really cool to see how people like Troy implemented features in RepairShopr to make everything you use possible 🙂

I bought my macOS computers because otherwise I had to switch to Windows 8, and from what I knew about that, I was so not going to go there! Now, I have a number of computers that can collaborate with each other very well.
