    Excellent topic. I've often wondered about class A heat affects on the soldering connections as well as other part inside the chassis

    Heat is one thing that can shorten the life of solid state components(not counting the burn-in testing that is used to find bad components before they leave the factory), another is over voltage/current conditions.
    But generally, solid state components will/should last essentially forever(beyond our lifetime).

    I heard that MOSFET transistors do wear out with use. Is that not true?
