27. Reading Transistor Datasheets

The operating characteristics of a transistor are all found on its data sheet. Need to know if the part can handle the frequency or give you the gain you need, look at the data sheet. This video is an overview of the AC and DC characteristics found in these sheets and how to interpret them.

Thanks, my first positive comment aside from a statement someone made about hating Boolean Algebra.

thanks for a great and informative video. can you help me choosing a lot of MOSFETs for a inverter project. converting 12 or 24 volts to 120v. this seems to be where I am struggling. I am self taught. and have learned a lot from videos like yours. and reading. but I need to build a inverter to light and power my home. I am thinking of two banks of n channel MOSFETs. like up to 10-12 per bank. and want to leave plenty of room for larger transformer. for higher output. thankyou

Hello. Total newbie question here. Which part of the datasheet tells what voltage between base and emitter does the transistor open? Is it always 0.7v for all transistors that is why the datasheet does not indicate this? Thanks.

I wish it was a detailed and thorough explanation, but anyhow an overview is also ok.

    Thanks

Do you have a tutorial for how to source Intergrated Chipsets or simple chips, for specific projects? As Arduino has been one of the best electronic devices for learning this century,

I learned more about transistors in this 12 minute video than I have in hours of watching other tutorials and reading. Awesome work man!
